Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
1. What does AWAR do?
AWAR is a Jordan-based company, established in 1989, that designs, supplies, installs, and maintains high-end foodservice, supermarket, and commercial laundry equipment across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Beyond distributing equipment, AWAR also engineers and fabricates bespoke stainless steel solutions — from custom kitchen lines to specialized fit-outs — for hotels, restaurants, hospitals, and commercial kitchens.
2. What commercial kitchen equipment brands does AWAR represent?
AWAR is the authorized partner in Jordan for Electrolux Professional and Zanussi Professional for commercial kitchen equipment, and Henny Penny for pressure fryers, and holding cabinets. These brands cover everything from combi ovens and cook-chill systems to frying and food-warming equipment used in hotels, restaurants, catering operations, and central production kitchens.
3. Does AWAR supply commercial coffee machines like La Marzocco and Franke?
Yes. AWAR is the authorized distributor for La Marzocco espresso machines and Franke Coffee Systems in its markets, supplying and servicing equipment for cafés, hotels, restaurants, and coffee-shop chains — from traditional La Marzocco lever and volumetric espresso machines to Franke’s fully automatic bean-to-cup systems for high-volume venues.
4. What commercial laundry equipment does AWAR offer?
AWAR supplies commercial and industrial laundry equipment from Unimac and Electrolux Professional, including washer-extractors, tumble dryers, and finishing equipment sized for hotels, hospitals, laundromats, and other high-volume operations. AWAR also maintains a dedicated operational laundry training facility where clients can see and learn how to run their operations.
5. Does AWAR make custom stainless steel equipment?
Yes. In addition to distributing global brands, AWAR designs and fabricates bespoke stainless steel equipment in-house — custom worktables, hoods, counters, and full kitchen production lines tailored to a client’s kitchen layout, workflow, and local health-code requirements. This in-house fabrication capability lets AWAR deliver complete kitchen fit-outs rather than just individual pieces of equipment.
6. What countries or regions does AWAR serve?
AWAR is headquartered in Amman, Jordan, and serves clients across the West Asia region, with partners and affiliates in the West Bank, Palestine and also in Bahrain, Iraq and Syria. AWAR’s client base includes hotels, hospitals, royal palaces, restaurant chains, and commercial complexes throughout the region.
7. Does AWAR provide installation, training, and after-sales support?
Yes. AWAR positions itself as an end-to-end solutions provider, not just an equipment seller: services include site design consultation, delivery and installation, staff training, and ongoing maintenance and after-sales service through a dedicated service department. AWAR also operates a demo kitchen and coffee bar used to train client staff directly on the equipment they’ll be using.
8. Can I see or test AWAR's equipment in person before buying?
Yes. AWAR’s Amman facility includes a working demo kitchen, a coffee bar, and a laundry showroom, so prospective buyers and their kitchen or F&B teams can see equipment in operation, run product trials, and train on machines before committing to a purchase.
9. Is AWAR an official or authorized distributor, or a reseller?
AWAR operates as the official, authorized regional distributor for each brand it represents — including Electrolux Professional, Zanussi Professional, Unimac, Henny Penny, La Marzocco, Franke Coffee Systems, Tecnoeka, Merrychef, Frymaster, and many prominent brands — rather than a third-party reseller. This means clients get manufacturer-backed warranties, genuine parts, and factory-trained service support through AWAR directly.
10. How do I get a quote or contact AWAR?
You can reach AWAR’s Amman, Jordan headquarters through the contact form at awar.net/contact, by emailing sales@awar.net for new equipment inquiries or maintenance@awar.net for service requests, or by phone through AWAR’s Al-Bayader sales and service departments. AWAR’s team typically scopes the project (kitchen, coffee, or laundry) before providing a tailored quote, since most orders involve some degree of custom layout or fabrication.
